Surgery & Sedation
Dental Implants
One of the permanent options for replacing missing teeth. A single implant can be used to replace one missing tooth, acting as the root of a tooth. A crown will then be placed after the implant integrated into the bone to complete the procedure.
In a case where all the teeth are missing, 4 to 6 implants can be placed to replace a whole jaw of teeth.
Implants is make from medical grade metarligic elements and thus will not decay/rot like the biological structure of a tooth and root.
Wisdom tooth removal
Uncomplicated wisdom teeth removals can be done in-chair.
If wisdom teeth are horizontally impacted it can be removed in-chair. Options are available to use oral medication for sedation and pain. If a patient prefers, conscious sedation can be done whereby a medical doctor sedates a patient via intravenous medication. If impacted wisdom teeth are very complicated there is an option to get the teeth removed under general anaesthesia in a hospital day clinic.
Conscious sedation
We work closely with a medical doctor to offer treatment under conscious sedation for private patients or when theatre treatment is not covered by a medical aid.
