Crowns

A crown will be recommended in cases where a lot of tooth structure is lost, as in the case of heavily restored teeth, extensive decay, fractures and after root canal treatments. A crown is in essence a tooth shaped “cap” that covers the whole visible part of the tooth and matches the colour of the adjacent teeth.

Due to advancements in material science crowns are made from various materials like zirconia having the hardness of a diamond.

Bridges

This is one of various methods to replace one or more missing teeth. A dental bridge is a combination of crowns and ‘replacement teeth’ – forming a single unit that will be cemented permanently to bridge the gap between teeth.

Veneers

A veneer is a layer of porcelain or composite material that will cover a tooth for aesthetic reasons or to protect the tooth from further damage.

Veneers are a minimally invasive procedure to help get that Hollywood smile one desires.
